640 Destruction of forensic material etc
This section applies if, before the commencement day, any of the following happened in relation to a person who committed, or who is alleged to have committed, a youth offence:
identification material was taken from the person;
forensic material was taken from the person;
a forensic procedure was carried out on the person.
The chief police officer must ensure the destruction of each of the following:
the identification material;
the forensic material;
any information obtained from the forensic material;
any record of a thing mentioned in paragraph (a) to (c).
The chief police officer must also ensure any information about a thing mentioned in subsection (2) entered into a database or record by a police officer is removed from the database or record.

forensic procedure—see the Crimes (Forensic Procedures) Act 2000, section 5.
identification material, in relation to a person—see section 185.
