103 Unregistered assistance animal trainers
A person commits an offence if the person—
carries on a business as an assistance animal trainer; and
is not registered as an assistance animal trainer.
Maximum penalty: 50 penalty units.
A person commits an offence if the person—
accredits an animal as having been trained to meet the assistance animal standard; and
is not registered as an assistance animal trainer.
Maximum penalty: 50 penalty units.
An offence against this section is a strict liability offence.
In this section:
not registered—a person is also not registered as an assistance animal trainer if the person’s registration is suspended, cancelled or expired.
