114 Ballot papers
Subject to this division, the ballot papers to be used in an election shall be in accordance with the form in schedule 1.
The commissioner may determine the colour of the paper on which ballot papers for each electorate are to be printed.
A ballot paper must bear an official mark in the form approved under section 340A (Approved forms).
The ballot paper may be in electronic form.
The commissioner may approve changes to the electronic form of the ballot paper that are necessary to facilitate the display of the electronic form or its use by electors.
Example
The electronic form of a ballot paper may display columns of candidates using 2 rows.
An approval under subsection (3) is a notifiable instrument.
The regulations may—
specify the headings or directions to be contained on ballot papers to be used for declaration voting; and
provide for—
the form of a ballot paper to be altered as specified in the regulations; or
a form set out in the regulations to be used in place of the form of a ballot paper.
