117 Names on ballot papers
In this section:
party name, for a registered party, means—
the name under which the party is registered; or
if a registered abbreviation of the name of the party is stated in the nomination form of each party candidate—that abbreviation.
On the ballot papers for an election—
the party name of the registered party by which a group of party candidates is endorsed must be printed at the top of the column of their names; and
the party name of the registered party by which an ungrouped party candidate is endorsed must be printed next to the candidate square for the candidate; and
the word ‘independent’ must be printed next to the candidate square for a candidate (other than a party candidate) if the nomination form so specified.
