Electoral Act 1992

As soon as practicable after the close of the poll for an election, the returning officer for each station shall forward to the commissioner—

a copy of the record of the issue of each ballot paper; and

a copy of the statement referred to in section 175 (c); and

the ballot papers used for voting at the station.

The commissioner shall keep the documents referred to in subsection (1) in safe custody for the purposes of scrutiny under part 12.
