320 Control of behaviour at voting centres
A person shall not, without reasonable excuse, disrupt an activity being carried out under this Act at a voting centre.
Maximum penalty: 10 penalty units.
A person at a voting centre shall not, without reasonable excuse, disobey a direction given by the OIC by or under this Act.
Maximum penalty: 10 penalty units.
A person shall not, without reasonable excuse, enter or remain at a voting centre without the permission, express or implied, of the OIC.
Maximum penalty: 10 penalty units.
Subsection (3) does not apply—
to an officer; or
to a scrutineer who is entitled to be on the premises under section 123; or
if the voting centre is a polling place—to a voter who enters the place for the purpose of voting and remains no longer than is necessary and reasonable for that purpose.
A person who contravenes this section may be removed from the premises by a police officer or by an authorised officer.
In this section:
OIC, in relation to a voting centre, means the officer in charge of the centre.
voting centre means—
an early polling place; or
an interstate declaration polling place; or
a polling place; or
a scrutiny centre.
