75 Execution of documents and assumptions people dealing with relevant territory authority may make
In this section:
applied Corporations Act provisions means the following provisions of the Corporations Act:
section 127 (which is about the execution of documents by a company);
section 128 (which is about a person’s entitlement to make certain assumptions in dealing with a company);
section 129 (which is about the assumptions that may be made).
The applied Corporations Act provisions apply to a relevant territory authority as if—
a reference to a company were a reference to the authority; and
a reference to a common seal were a reference to any seal of the authority; and
a reference to a director were a reference to a board member; and
a reference to a company’s constitution were a reference to this Act and the establishing Act; and
a reference to an officer of a company were a reference to the chief executive officer and any member of staff of the authority; and
a reference to information available to the public from ASIC were a reference to information available to the public from the Territory; and
any other necessary changes, and any change prescribed by regulation, were made.
