Fishing closure offences

In force

(1)

A person commits an offence if—

(a)

a fishing closure is in force for waters; and

(b)

the person contravenes the fishing closure.

Maximum penalty: 50 penalty units.

(2)

An offence against this section is a strict liability offence.

(3)

This section does not apply if the person’s conduct is exempt conduct.
