Gene Technology Act 2003

The regulator must issue an identity card to an inspector.

The identity card—

must be in the form approved under section 192E; and

must contain a recent photograph of the inspector.

If a person to whom an identity card has been issued ceases to be an inspector, the person must return the identity card to the regulator as soon as practicable.

An offence against subsection (3) is a strict liability offence.

An inspector must carry his or her identity card at all times when exercising functions as an inspector.

This section differs from the Commonwealth Act, s 151.
