23 Timeframe for deciding initial claims
(1)
The director-general must decide a claim within 12 weeks after the day—
(a)
the claim is given to them; or
(b)
if information is requested under section 22—the information is given to them.
(2)
The claimant may agree in writing to an extension of the 12-week period before the end of the period.
