5I Council—delegation

(1)

The council may delegate its functions under this Act to a member of the council’s staff.

Note For the making of delegations and the exercise of delegated functions, see the Legislation Act, pt 19.4.

(2)

However, the council must not delegate its function of—

(a)

dismissing a complaint, other than its function under section 35B (1) (a), (f) or (g); or

(b)

referring a complaint; or

(c)

making a recommendation in relation to a complaint.
