(1)

The lessor must give the tenant a copy of the proposed lease as early as practicable in negotiations for the lease.

Note

For how documents may be given, see the Legislation Act, pt 19.5.

(2)

Subsection (1) does not require the lessor to give a copy of the proposed lease to a tenant if the tenant has given, or indicated an intention to give, a copy of the proposed lease to the lessor.
