83 Constitution of consultative committees
Each consultative committee shall consist of—
a person who is a member of the law society or a member of the bar association; and
an officer of the commission; and
such other people as the Minister considers appropriate.
In selecting people to be appointed as members of a consultative committee to assist the commission to exercise its functions in a particular locality, the Minister shall have regard to the desirability of selecting people living, or carrying on a business, profession or trade, in that locality.
The Minister must appoint the members of a consultative committee for a period of 1 year.

Certain Ministerial appointments require consultation with an Assembly committee and are disallowable (see Legislation Act, div 19.3.3).
A person may be reappointed to a position if the person is eligible to be appointed to the position (see Legislation Act, s 208 and dict, pt 1, def appoint).
