When repeal takes effect

In force

(1)

This section applies if a law is repealed on a day.

(2)

If the law is remade on that day (with or without changes), the repeal takes effect when the remade law commences.

Note Under s 74, if a law commences on a day, it commences at the beginning of the day unless otherwise provided.

(3)

If the law is not remade on that day (with or without changes), the law continues in force until the end of the day and the repeal takes effect at midnight on the day.
