86 Repealed and amended laws not revived on repeal of repealing and amending laws
If a law (the first law) is repealed by another law (the other law), the first law is not revived only because the other law is repealed.
If a law (the first law) is amended by another law (the other law), the continuing operation of the amendments made by the other law is not affected only because the other law is repealed and, in particular, the first law is not revived in the form in which it was in before the amendments took effect only because of the repeal.
This section does not limit any other provision of this chapter and is in addition to any provision of the law by which the repeal is made.
This section is a determinative provision.

law includes a rule of the common law (including equity).
