Chapter 5Mental health orders
Part 5.5Community care orders
68 Criteria for making restriction order with community care order
In addition to making a community care order in relation to a person, the ACAT may make a restriction order in relation to the person if it believes on reasonable grounds that—
(a)
it is in the interests of the person’s health or safety or the safety of someone else or the public to do so; and
(b)
the treatment, care or support to be provided under the community care order cannot be adequately provided in another way that would involve less restriction of the freedom of choice and movement of the person.
