30 Delegation by MAI commission

(1)

The MAI commission may delegate the MAI commission’s functions under this Act or another territory law to—

(a)

a member of staff of the MAI commission; or

(b)

a public employee; or

(c)

a person prescribed by regulation.

Note 1 Public employee—see the Legislation Act, dictionary, pt 1.

Note 2 For the making of delegations and the exercise of delegated functions, see the Legislation Act, pt 19.4.

(2)

A delegate may subdelegate to a person mentioned in subsection (1) (b) or (c) a function delegated under subsection (1) if the subdelegation is authorised, in writing, by the MAI commission.
