Part 8.1Enforcement—general

433 Definitions—ch 8

In this chapter:

at premises includes in or on the premises.

authorised person means a person appointed as an authorised person under section 434.

connected—a thing is connected with an offence if—

(a)

the offence has been committed in relation to it; or

(b)

it will provide evidence of the commission of the offence; or

(c)

it was used, is being used, or is intended to be used, to commit the offence.

occupier, of premises, includes—

(a)

a person believed on reasonable grounds to be an occupier of the premises; and

(b)

a person apparently in charge of the premises.

offence includes an offence that there are reasonable grounds for believing has been, is being, or will be, committed.

premises includes land, a vehicle, a vessel and an aircraft.

warrant means a warrant issued under part 8.3 (Enforcement—search warrants).
