78 Meaning of paid work—pt 2.4

(1)

For this part, a person is in paid work if the person is engaged in any work for remuneration or other financial benefit—

(a)

whether as an employee, a self-employed individual or otherwise; and

(b)

whether the person was in full-time or part-time work; and

(c)

whether or not the person was on paid leave.

Note The injured person’s pre-injury weekly income is worked out under s 81, s 82, s 83 or s 84.

(2)

The MAI guidelines may make provision for what is, or is not, taken to be paid work.
