18 Additional MAI premium payable if change in construction or use of vehicle
(1)
This section applies if—
(a)
an MAI premium (the original premium) has been paid for an MAI policy for a motor vehicle; and
(b)
a change is made in the construction or use of the motor vehicle; and
(c)
because of the change, a higher MAI premium than the original premium would be payable if a new MAI policy were issued for the motor vehicle.
(2)
The owner of the motor vehicle is liable to pay an additional MAI premium, starting on the day the change happens, worked out in accordance with the MAI guidelines.
