25 Oath or affirmation without authority

(1)

A person shall not, unless the person is authorised to do so by or under a law in force in the ACT—

(a)

require another person to take an oath or make an affirmation; or

(b)

administer an oath or affirmation to another person.

(2)

A person who wilfully contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence.

Maximum penalty: 50 penalty units, imprisonment for 6 months or both.
