7 Inspection of prohibited weapons or articles by police
A person who possesses a prohibited weapon or prohibited article must, on demand made by a police officer at any time, produce for inspection by that officer—
the weapon or article; and
any permit that authorises the person to possess the weapon or article.
Maximum penalty: 50 penalty units.
A person commits an offence against subsection (1) only if the police officer, when making the demand, explains to the person that failure to comply with the demand is an offence against this Act.
In subsection (1), a reference to a prohibited weapon or a prohibited article includes a reference to a part of a prohibited weapon or a prohibited article.
