Powers

In force

For the purposes of an investigation, the chief health officer may, subject to any applicable code of practice—

(a)

require a person to appear and give evidence; or

(b)

require a person to answer any relevant question; or

(c)

take evidence on oath or by affirmation; or

(d)

require a person to take an oath or to make an affirmation; or

(e)

take statements and receive affidavits; or

(f)

require the production of any relevant document; or

(g)

exercise any other power the chief health officer considers to be necessary for the purpose.
