29 Integrity commissioner may review decisions
The integrity commissioner may, at any time, review—
a decision by another investigating entity to end its investigation of a public interest disclosure under section 20 (2); and
an action taken, or proposed to be taken, by a public sector entity in relation to disclosable conduct the subject of a public interest disclosure.
The integrity commissioner may ask anyone to give the commissioner information, including protected information, relevant to the investigation of the disclosure.
A public sector entity or public official must comply with a request made to the entity or official.
After reviewing a decision, the integrity commissioner may—
amend the decision; or
set aside the decision and substitute a new decision; or
take no action.
After reviewing an action, or proposed action, the integrity commissioner may direct a public sector entity or public official to take, or not take, action in relation to the disclosable conduct.
