Residents to respect rights of other people
124 Residents to respect rights of other people
It is a term of every residence contract for residential premises in a retirement village that the resident of the village must respect the rights of other residents of, and other people in, the village.
Without limiting subsection (1), a resident—
must not interfere, or cause or allow any interference, with the reasonable peace, comfort or privacy of another resident; and
must respect the rights of the operator of the village, and agents and employees of the operator, to work in an environment free from harassment or intimidation; and
must not act in a manner that adversely affects the occupational health and safety of people working in the village.
If the operator reasonably believes that a resident has contravened this section, the operator may apply to the ACAT for an order directing the resident to comply with this section.
