Protection from liability—operator

(1)

The operator of a retirement village does not incur civil liability in relation to the delivery, removal, destruction, disposal or sale of goods in accordance with this division.

(2)

However, if the operator deals with the goods otherwise than in accordance with this division, a person who has an interest in the goods may apply to the ACAT for an order directing the operator to pay compensation to the applicant.
