244J Personal mobility device use at night or hazardous weather conditions
A person commits an offence if—
the person travels in or on a personal mobility device—
at night; or
in hazardous weather conditions causing reduced visibility.
fails to comply with a requirement under subsection (2).
Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.
The person must display, on themself or the personal mobility device—
a flashing or steady white light that is clearly visible for at least 200m from the front of the personal mobility device; and
a flashing or steady red light that is clearly visible for at least 200m from the rear of the personal mobility device; and
a red reflector that is clearly visible for at least 50m from the rear of the personal mobility device when light is projected onto it by a vehicle’s headlight on low-beam.
