19 Protection of commissioners etc
(1)
A commissioner has, in the exercise of any function as a commissioner in relation to an inquiry, the same protection and immunity as a judge of the Supreme Court in proceedings in that court.
(2)
A lawyer assisting a commission or appearing on a person’s behalf at a hearing before a commission has the same protection and immunity as a barrister has in appearing for a party in proceedings in the Supreme Court.
(3)
Subject to this Act, a person subpoened to attend or appearing before a commission as a witness has the same protection and is subject to the same liabilities as a witness in proceedings in the Supreme Court.
