Meaning of victim—div 2.2

In force

(1)

For this division, each of the following is a victim of an offender:

(a)

a person (a primary victim) who suffers harm because of an offence by the offender;

(b)

if a primary victim dies because of an offence by the offender—a person who was financially or psychologically dependent on the primary victim immediately before the primary victim’s death.

(2)

In this section:
