25 Public auctions
(1)
If uncollected goods are to be disposed of by public auction, the possessor must, at least 7 days before the auction, give public notice of—
(a)
the time and place of the auction; and
(b)
a general description of the goods to be sold.
Note Public notice means notice on an ACT government website or in a daily newspaper circulating in the ACT (see Legislation Act, dict, pt 1).
(2)
Any goods passed in at the auction may be disposed of or destroyed in such manner as the possessor sees fit.
