Protection of informed people

In force

(1)

An information holder is not civilly liable for conduct engaged in honestly and without recklessness—

(a)

in the exercise of a function under this Act; or

(b)

in the reasonable belief that the conduct was in the exercise of a function under this Act.

(2)

An information holder is, in any legal proceeding, competent but not compellable to give evidence or produce documents in relation to any matter in which the person was involved in the course of exercising the person’s functions.
