53 Ending contact person appointment
The appointment of a contact person may be ended by—
the individual giving the contact person written notice that they no longer want the person to be their contact person; or
the contact person giving the individual written notice that they no longer want to be the individual’s contact person.
A notice under subsection (1) (a) or (b) must include any information prescribed by regulation.
If a contact person appointment is ended under this section, the individual must—
tell their coordinating practitioner that the appointment has ended; and
make another appointment under section 51.
Within 4 business days after the day the individual tells their coordinating practitioner about the appointment ending, the coordinating practitioner must give the board written notice about the appointment ending.
Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.
An offence against this section is a strict liability offence.
