56 Requirements for applications
(1)
An individual, or a person in a class of persons prescribed by the rules on behalf of the individual, may apply, in an approved form, to the System Governor for access to funded aged care services if the individual does not have an eligibility determination for an aged care needs assessment that is in effect.
Note:
The application may be withdrawn: see section 590.
(2)
If a person makes an application under subsection (1) on behalf of the individual, the person must notify the individual that the application has been made.
