13 Deputies of members

(1)

A member chosen by the Senate or by the House of Representatives may appoint a Senator or a member of the House of Representatives, as the case may be, to be his or her deputy.

(2)

The Minister may appoint a person to be a deputy of a member referred to in paragraph 10(2)(c).

(3)

The deputy of a member is, in the event of the absence of the member from a meeting of the Council, entitled to attend that meeting and, when so attending, shall be deemed to be a member of the Council.
