143 Regulations
The Governor‑General may make regulations prescribing matters:
required or permitted by this Act to be prescribed by the regulations; or
necessary or convenient to be prescribed for carrying out or giving effect to this Act.
Prescribing area to be a designated zone
Before the Governor‑General makes or amends regulations for the purposes of paragraph 10(2)(c) prescribing an area to be a designated zone, the Minister must:
cause to be published on the Department’s website a notice:
setting out the boundary of the area proposed to be prescribed to be a designated zone; and
inviting persons to make submissions to the Minister about the boundary of the area proposed within the period specified in the notice; and
consider any submissions received within the period specified in the notice.
