56 Details of warrant etc. to be given to relevant person in relation to investigation area

(1)

An inspector must comply with subsection (2) if:

(a)

an investigation warrant is being executed in relation to an investigation area; and

(b)

a relevant person in relation to the investigation area is present in the investigation area.

(2)

The inspector executing the warrant must, as soon as practicable:

(a)

do one of the following:

(i)

if the warrant was issued under section 68—make a copy of the warrant available to a relevant person referred to in paragraph (1)(b) (which need not include the signature of the issuing officer who issued it);

(ii)

if the warrant was signed under section 69—make a copy of the form of warrant completed under subsection 69(6) available to a relevant person referred to in paragraph (1)(b); and

(b)

inform a relevant person referred to in paragraph (1)(b), in writing, of the rights of the relevant person under Subdivision C.
