17 Delegation by Minister
(1)
The Minister may, by instrument in writing, delegate the Minister’s powers under section 7, 8 or 44 to the CEO.
(2)
The Minister may, by instrument in writing, delegate the Minister’s powers under section 40 to any of the following:
(a)
the CEO;
(b)
the Secretary of the Department;
(c)
a person holding, or performing the duties of, a Senior Executive Service office, or equivalent, in the Department.
(3)
In exercising powers or functions under a delegation, the delegate must comply with any directions of the Minister.
