Designs Act 2003

For the purposes of section 144, the Registrar may, by writing, determine one or more means for filing a document with the Designs Office.

The means may be an electronic means or any other means.

The Registrar must publish a notice, in accordance with the regulations, setting out the determination.

The Registrar may, in a determination under subsection (1), specify that one or more means for filing a document with the Designs Office are preferred means.

Under the regulations, reduced fees may be payable for filing a document by preferred means.

A determination under subsection (1) is not a legislative instrument.
