14 Meaning of Australian territory
A reference in a provision of this Act to Australian territory is a reference to:
Australia; and
the exclusive economic zone adjacent to Australia; and
the waters above the continental shelf adjacent to Australia; and
each external Territory to which the provision extends under paragraph 8(2)(a); and
each area to which the provision extends under subparagraph 8(2)(b)(i); and
the waters above each area to which the provision extends under subparagraph 8(2)(b)(ii); and
each area to which the provision extends under paragraph 8(2)(c).
Under subsection 8(2), the rules may extend this Act, or any provisions of this Act, to an external Territory and to certain other areas.
