10.12 Refusal to accept document served personally

(1)

If a person refuses to accept a document that is required to be served personally on the person, the document is taken to have been served personally if the person serving the document:

(a)

puts it down in the individual’s presence; and

(b)

tells the individual what the document is.

(2)

It is not necessary to show the original of the document to the person being served.
