19 Independence
Subject to this Act and to other laws of the Commonwealth:
(a)
the Authority has complete discretion in the performance of the Authority’s functions and the exercise of the Authority’s powers; and
(b)
the Authority is not subject to direction from anyone in relation to:
(i)
how a particular assessment will be undertaken; or
(ii)
the content of a report to the Minister.
Note:
The Authority may be requested to do certain things (see subsections 13(2) and 14(1)).
