Food Standards Australia New Zealand Act 1991

The body known immediately before the commencement of this subsection as the Australia New Zealand Food Authority is continued in existence as Food Standards Australia New Zealand.

The Authority:

is a body corporate with perpetual succession; and

must have a seal; and

may sue and be sued in its corporate name.

The Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 applies to the Authority. That Act deals with matters relating to corporate Commonwealth entities, including reporting and the use and management of public resources.

All courts, judges and persons acting judicially must take judicial notice of the imprint of the seal of the Authority appearing on a document and are to presume that the document was duly sealed.
