20 Decision on permit application
(2)
As soon as practicable after granting or refusing a special import permit, the CEO must give the competent authority of the exporting country for the permit written notice of the decision, and:
(a)
if the decision is to grant the permit—give the permit to the applicant for the permit; or
(b)
if the decision is a refusal—give the applicant for the permit written notice of the decision, and the reasons for it.
(3)
Contravention of subregulation (2) does not affect the validity of the decision.
