45 Minister may request further information in relation to application
If:
the nominated person for confidential information makes an application under subsection 44(1) in relation to the information (whether alone or jointly with another person); and
the Minister needs further information to make a decision on the application;
the Minister may, by written notice given to the nominated person, request the nominated person to give further information to the Minister within the time limit specified in the notice.
The time limit must not be shorter than 20 business days after the day the notice is given.
If the nominated person does not give the requested further information within the time limit specified in the notice, the application is taken to be withdrawn at the end of the time limit.
If the application is taken to be withdrawn under this subsection, the Minister may publicly disclose the confidential information to which the application related: see section 61.
A notice given under subsection (1) must set out the effect of subsection (3) and section 61.
