51 Protection of members etc

(1)

A member has, in the performance of his or her duty as a member, the same protection and immunity as a Justice of the High Court.

(2)

A legal practitioner or other person appearing before the Commission has the same protection and immunity as a barrister has in appearing for a party in proceedings in the High Court.

(3)

A person summoned to attend before or appearing before the Commission as a witness has the same protection, and is, in addition to the penalties provided by this Act, subject to the same liabilities, as a witness in proceedings in the High Court.
