24 Defence for use of information required by another law
Section 21 does not apply if:
(a)
a person obtains protected information for a permissible purpose; and
(b)
the person makes a record of, or discloses or otherwise uses, the information; and
(c)
the record, disclosure or use is required under another enactment of the Commonwealth, or of a State or Territory.
Note:
A defendant bears an evidential burden in relation to the matter in this section: see subsection 13.3(3) of the Criminal Code.
