40 Remuneration and allowances
The Chief Executive Officer is to be paid such remuneration as is determined by the Remuneration Tribunal but, if no determination of that remuneration is in force, is to be paid such remuneration as is determined in writing by the Commission.
The Chief Executive Officer is to be paid such allowances as are determined in writing by the Commission.
A determination by the Commission under subsection (1) does not have effect unless it has been approved by resolution of the Ministerial Council carried in accordance with the Agreement.
Remuneration and allowances payable to the Chief Executive Officer under this section are to be paid out of the money of the Commission.
This section, other than subsection (4), has effect subject to the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1973, but subsection (4) has effect despite that Act.
