National Transport Commission Act 2003

There is to be a Chief Executive Officer of the Commission, who is to be appointed for a period specified in the instrument of appointment by the Chair.

The Chair is to make the appointment on the recommendation of the Commission. However, the Chief Executive Officer is not to participate in the making of the recommendation by the Commission.

The Chief Executive Officer is to manage the affairs of the Commission subject to the directions of, and in accordance with policies determined by, the Commission.

All acts and things done, for the purposes of this Act, in the name of, or on behalf of, the Commission by the Chief Executive Officer are to be taken to have been done by the Commission.
