29 Sponsorship‑like support
For the purposes of this Chapter, a person provides sponsorship‑like support for:
the AOC; or
the IOC; or
a Summer or Winter Olympic Games; or
the organising committee for a Summer or Winter Olympic Games; or
an Australian Olympic team; or
a section of an Australian Olympic team; or
an individual member of an Australian Olympic team;
if, and only if, the person provides support on the understanding (whether express or implied) that the support is provided in exchange for a right to associate:
the person; or
goods or services of the person;
with the committee, games, team, section or individual concerned.
A right mentioned in subsection (1) need not be legally enforceable.
An exchange mentioned in subsection (1) may be wholly or partly for the right mentioned in that subsection.
