Provider of social media service, age‑restricted social media platform, relevant electronic service, designated internet service or app distribution service

(1)

For the purposes of this Act, a person does not provide a social media service, age‑restricted social media platform, relevant electronic service or designated internet service merely because the person supplies a carriage service that enables material to be accessed or delivered.

(2)

For the purposes of this Act, a person does not provide an app distribution service merely because the person supplies a carriage service that enables apps to be downloaded.

(3)

For the purposes of this Act, a person does not provide a social media service, age‑restricted social media platform, relevant electronic service, designated internet service or app distribution service merely because the person provides a billing service, or a fee collection service, in relation to a social media service, age‑restricted social media platform, relevant electronic service, designated internet service or app distribution service.
